Boring post about the job:)

It got allot easier today and I'm catching on quick. I got a company Costco membership and soon I'll get my own company credit card...wahooo party!!!! Just kidding

There is still much to learn about Semi-conductors and Silicon, Fabless and Foundries...blah blah blah. I'm learning to use a Linux (sp?) system as well. Might even be some company travel to CA in my future. I know many people travel for work allot and they hate it but I've never had the opportunity and think it's exciting. Bring it on!

All in All...I love my new digs and co-workers. I'm looking forward to tomorrow, have not said that in years.

Here is a question for you.....When you think growth,,,what is the first thing that pops in your head? I'm not talking dirty thoughts here, gutter thinkers!:) For me It's a plant or tree...What about you?

Curious...

Growth ... becoming more than you are now. Physically, spiritually, intellectually, emotionally. Amount relative. Just going forward. Or sideways, if you need a detour to get back on the highway ;->

If'n you ain't growin', yu'se dyin'.

The image of growth to me conjures up a crystal growing in a petri dish. How it starts up small, and then starts branching off in all directions, it may seem haphazard at first glance, but in reality it's a perfect pattern.

Oh, and squeef, I guess I'm a dye'in now cuz I'm sittin here at work and I ain't growing seppin sideways around my ass and I feel like my brain is rotting.

So does mean you'll soon be adding geek to your dork-nerd-goofball description?

The first thing I thought about when you said growth was cancer or tumor. Sorry not very inspirational! Maybe I thought of it cause of the tumor in my brain.

Hmmmmk. I was hoping for a visual that your could format as a marketable tool.

Guess we could hand out Petri dishes with Bacterial growth in celebration of our company growing...haha

Nah Raf... Maybe it is like a 12 step program. The first step to growing is that you have to admit that you have a problem ..

"Hi! My name is Rafael and I'm sittin here at work and I ain't growing seppin sideways around my ass and I feel like my brain is rotting."

"Hi Rafael!!"

I see petri dishes with growth everyday! I also use Linux, it shouldn't be too hard for you to catch on.
Sounds like you found a winner of a job!

I am happy that things are going good at the new job! Sorry the only ideas I can come up with for growth are dirty ones.

Learning new stuff. Being able to shed off old thoughts or beliefs in exchange for new ones.

Understanding all in the world is not black and white sometimes.

Oh, and my wiener every GD morning.. I mean one morning without would be nice once in a while.........geez.

you set the gutter thinkers up by using the terms "growth" and "pops into your head" furthermore, we are already at the computer, so you know we've already checked our email, our own blog, other blogs and porn is next. so, GROWTH. moving up in the career world, to me, does not necessarily mean growth--yes, you can make more money, but are you really doing something more (it just means you were getting paid your potential before). going through school, getting a new job would be growth, to me (even if you made less money). myself for instance, i have a huge change in my life, i don't feel like grew when i made the change, i was growing for a long time--it gave me the strength to make the change---now i call the phase "adjusting"
